On the way into work this AM, our local (awesome) classic rock station was playing a salute to 1984. This song started which at first I thought was Joni, sounding something like would come from TTT. It all happened so fast, my not-yet-fully-awake brain didn't consider the chronology. Alas, turns out it was Purple Rain. I recall Joni and Prince having a cordial relationship. Just wondering if anyone else has heard a musical similarity? I had a roommate in college who complained about my incessant playing of Joni's records, over & over & over again - I was listening to them like oxygen. LOL. Are all of us Joniphiles like this ?
