Lynn had previously recorded and released "Help Me", now she's put out a whole album's worth, including a couple of deep tracks. As is typically the case, nothing past Court & Spark is included. It's only available as a download as far as I can see. http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/lynnskinner7 The liner notes: Lynn Skinner has been a Joni Mitchell fan since the late '60s. Twenty years after her professional debut as a singer, Lynn started performing Mitchell's songs sporadically in the late '90s. After considerable feedback from her fans, Lynn decided to create a series of Joni Mitchell tribute concerts beginning in 2005. By weaving her appreciation of Joni into her own style of musical expression, Lynn has continued to discover new meaning in Joni's words and music, and loves to share this onstage. This is Lynn's first cd release featuring the music of Joni Mitchell. The recording is pure - a blank cd, put into the soundboard during a live concert at Swallow Hill Music Association in Denver, captured these pieces . Brian Hunter was running the sound that night, and the mix you hear is exactly what the audience heard. No extra bells and whistles were added after the fact. To give this recording a bit more intimacy, the songs stand alone, without the applause. The scripted interludes Lynn often reads between songs were also left out. The listener can simply enjoy the music - the 'Snapshots from the Stage'. Lynn has performed with the same group of gentlemen for many of her Joni tributes. Their mutual love of Joni's music and their artistic excellence made this performance worthy of a recording. Lynn is proud to have such creative collaborators on board. Joining Lynn at this concert: Bob Schlesinger, piano Ron Bland, bass Bob Rebholz, reeds Larry Thompson, drums Bob NP: Brucs Springsteen, "Kitty's Back" - ------------------------------------------------------------ The information transmitted is intended only for the person or entity to which it is addressed and may contain proprietary, business-confidential and/or privileged material.
