Catherine, Not a naive question at all. The software is aimed at the many many people who can't sing more than those who can. Obviously there are far more of the former than the latter, ie more sales potential to wannabe singers than actual singers. It's sort of the digital equivalent of those old "play-in-a-day" guitar books they used to sell in the sixties.
