You can hear previews on Itunes and elsewhere as well. The album is out in May. There are a few versions on this on Youtube but this one sounded better than most to these ears. >________________________________ > From: Catherine McKay >To: Joni List >Sent: Wednesday, April 18, 2012 11:23:06 PM >Subject: Joni reference in new John Mayer song > >Hey, Joni-folks. I suppose it could be, but it never occurred to me, because I'm kinda thick! It's funny because my daughter is a huge John Mayer fan and she plays his music so often and talks about him all the time that I get kind of tired of it. (I can assure you that I do NOT talk about Joni or anyone even one-tenth as much as Sarah does about John Mayer.) So I'm aware of his health issues (she wanted to go to his next concert, which has been cancelled due to his throat problem.) I thought it might be a reference to Jennifer Anniston (sp?) whom he was dating a while ago, but I also figure his songs may be about more than one person/thing at the same time. Despite my having heard so much John Mayer that I have to sometimes tell Sarah, "Play anything but John Mayer, but if given a choice between John Mayer and Maroon 5, it has to be John, because I absolutely detest Maroon 5," I will admit that I've heard songs from his new album and I think I like it. It's too soon to tell because, once the thing has been released and she has her CD, I'm sure we'll be hearing it non-stop, and she'll be singing along with every song, and Matthew will be trying to kill her. >________________________________ > From: Jamie Zubairi Home >To: Catherine McKay >Cc: Joni List >Sent: Thursday, April 19, 2012 4:30:17 AM >Subject: Re: Joni reference in new John Mayer song > >I love the fact that he quotes her manager "If you see her say hello,". >It's just so Joni. > >Much Joni > >Jamie Zoob > >On 19 April 2012 04:23, Catherine McKay wrote: > >> Hey, Joni-folks.
