"Young also said that he met with Apple CEO Steve Jobs before his death last fall, and that the two discussed the possibility of developing a device similar to an iPod that could store roughly 30 studio-quality albums." The problem would be having enough storage on a portable device, and would require a high-speed connection. And getting people interested in a device that "only" holds 300 songs. I think it might have professional applications, though, for producers, pro musicians, etc. Sadly, the average consumer doesn't care about audio quality, and so doesn't get it.
