[Mary Morris Subject: Joni Phrases & earworms you can't rid of. There are so many Joni phrases out there it seems quite the task to think of narrowing them down. Afterall, she has a way with words. However, I have a phrase that seems to be popping up a lot for me lately. I was wondering what other great lyrics, phrases, little earworm bits have formed for other Joni fans. The one I keep hearing now is : "the moon swept down black water like an empty spotlight". It is so powerful on so many levels, yet so concise. I was driving home tonight, near water & though the full moon wasn't out, I can't see black water at night without thinking of those powerful words. Any one out there want to share theirs ?
