Maybe just a NYC thing. (?) I have never listened to Bruce Springsteen but a friend of mine went to see him in concert a couple of years ago and all I can say is that she had a rosy flush to her cheeks for at least a week after it and was on cloud nine about the man and his music big style. I'm sure I've heard him on the radio and liked well enough what I heard. Must check him properly .My mother who was not much into popular music at all always had a kind word to say about Roy Orbison's voice though. She thought him exceptional. Yes it would be a grand thing if our Joni was as prolific as Arvo Part but I suspect his output is indeed channelled from some source way beyond even Joni's muse. Bjork does an interview with him on you tube. On Fri, Mar 9, 2012 at 5:00 PM, Happy The Man wrote: > Gerard, > > Come on Arvo Part, you can't bring Arvo Part into this discussion. Love him, followed his career since his second album (saw him live in Tempe in 74). Nobody has brought up The Rising (or if they did I had not notice) which was a tremendous album. If you haven't seen him in concert, he does put on a great show. Is he one of my favorites, I don't own all his albums enough said.
