Wow, that's pretty crazy and makes me feel pretty old. I still listen to 
their stuff, although Davy's songs sometimes veered into some heavy 
schmaltz (Exhibit 1, "The Day We Fall In Love") due to his Tiger Beat 
popularity with girls such as yourself and the need to maintain that 
heartthrob status.

My sister had a preference for Mickey Dolenz, and she ended up gay as an 
adult so I'm not sure what that means exactly. My favorite Monkee was Mike 
Nesmith, not that I had any physical attraction to him but I tended to 
gravitate toward his songs more. Plus, I liked the toboggan he wore on his 
head.

That was a fun hour-and-a-half of television - The Monkees and then 
Laugh-In!
