Clear the entire forest of craving and you will see the Way to freedom' Ahh, what an aspiration! I often find my way on to a Fitness path, pilates, yoga, swimming and daily mediation, often to fall back into over eating, drinking or whatever the following week. Mind you, when I am on my healthy path, I guess that's still craving something, so I am clearly not 'there' yet! My Dad died of lung cancer from smoking at the same age as I am now (57) and my Mum was found dead by my brother with a cup of coffee, a chocolate biscuit and a cigarette close by at 83. What a great way to go for her! My Mum LOVED her ciggies and I am sure that's one reason she liked Joni so much, too. Fortunately, I never liked smoking, so that's one thing didn't inherit. One thing that is certain, as someone has said in this thread, we will all end up leaving Life in one way or another and I often think 'whatever gets you through the night' - is pretty alright, especially when your nights are long. It's more complicated when it badly affects others. It just goes to show that I really don't know Life at all, Anita On 17 February 2012 16:48, LC Stanley wrote: > Puzzles on the ground. > > > On Feb 16, 2012, at 10:15 AM, Victor wrote: > > > Right on Catherine!
