It didn't cross my mind that you had come up with it on short notice. The reason I asked for the story is that I thought it may have gone around the list years ago. Actually I was really hoping it was Joni's own parody of her biggest tune...she seemed amused by its success even before hundreds of covers we're released. Maybe you should get to work forging stacks and stacks of words that rhyme in loopy handwriting. You could make a lot of money scamming fools like me ;) Betsy On Feb 11, 2012, at 1:55 AM, Anita wrote: > Dear Betsy > Despite wracking me ol' brain,I couldn't think of any bird references to join in this Sweet Birds thread and so,with nothing better to do with my time, invented this fictional 'Joni' poem that was related to BSN, birds and was slightly critical of our great songstress rhyming of 'moon' and 'June' in said great 'lounge lizard' tune. > > Knowing the JMDL listers ability to be creative and humorous,I sat eagerly awaiting a sparky chorus of 'Both Birds Now' or even a few verses, but it was not to be.The post fell flat, which only goes to show the ancient adage that you win some, you lose some. > > That, dearest Betsy, is the full story. :) > Anita x > > > > On 10 Feb 2012, at 22:26, Betsy Blue wrote: > >> Anita, what's the story behind this? >> >> On Feb 8, 2012, at 10:36 AM, Anita G wrote: >> >>> I have only managed to find one verse Joni completed of 'Both Birds Now', but maybe others close to Joni may have more.
