I add my thanks to Bob, Les, Lindsay and all who make the website such a wealth of knowledge, my fellow transcribers who make the music learnable for all and the many many friends we have made via this list. Joni could not have a more dedicated, charitable, brilliant and innovative fan base. If you tried to put together a team like this, even with salaries involved, you'd be hard pressed to form a better one. Happy holidays one and all. AND. On April 6th, Robin Adler and Mutts of the Planet will be performing For The Roses in its entirety at the new Dizzys in San Diego. Details up soon on the website homepage. FTR fans, this may be the first time this has album ever been done live. You should come :-) Dave On Dec 12, 2012, at 10:23 AM, Michel BYRNE wrote: > Re Laurent's thread, while I'm sure we all do have to harden ourselves to get > through life ('is it possible to learn how to care and yet not care?'...), > it's surely best not to be too cynical or bitter about lack of audible > gratitude from folk-- for every thankyou you do get, there could be another > dozen of people who feel grateful but simply haven't got round to saying so. > > I'm lost in admiration by the effort put in by Bob M, for example, in > supplying us all with Joni Covers-- I rarely actually download them, because I > think there *is* a limit to how many BSNs and BYTs I want to hear in my > lifetime, so rarely get round to saying thanks, but I hope that's not taken as > a lack of appreciation for his meticulousness and generosity in making so much > obscure material available to us all, and hope that he can presume that a load > of us here are massively appreciative.
