I made a contribution to the Red Cross and encourage you to do the same if you can. We have many brothers and sisters up that way. And here's hoping that we can start taking climate change seriously. Meanwhile, here's a BRAND NEW set of Joni covers, will be welcomed by those of you who like the non-English versions (myself included). Thanks to Carmel and Paul for their help with this one; Hebrew, Dutch, Czech and you know there may be more. The link: http://tinyurl.com/cvgoypw The united nations of Joni: 1. The responsibility for the official site fell to Les Irvin who also created jmdl.com. Les has completely updated the official site and added lots of stuff, including Simon's Chronology. The official site now has the Library which Katherine Monk used extensively to research her book. Apparently nothing in the new box has been remastered. No one has mentioned any improvements in the sound and there are no bonus tracks. It's old wine in a new bottle. Question: Is the box version of Paprika Plains the original DJRD version or the SOAPG updated version? Jim L'Hommedieu >From: kenevans kenevans >I noticed on the website that they had received a copy of the box and that the packaging was cool. (does "they" still mean Jim? It's been a while so I'm not sure.) Anyways - there was no mention of the sonics as compared to the 1997 hdcds, which is really the only reason I would buy this. Anyone know? ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 3 Nov 2012 15:09:43 -0400 From: kenevans kenevans Subject: Re: The new box Omg.... First Wally, then Jim. He wasn't that old... We used to talk a bit. I've been on the list since 1998, and while there have been long stretches where I didn't keep up as much I always thought I checked in often enough to catch anything this big. Bob, by your subject line, I thought Joni was now doing a mash up with Talking Heads songs. Take Me to the RIVER Burning Down the Harry's House Argh! Don't get me started.
