I am a photographer myself and constantly search the Internet for cool images. I think Norman Seeff's work is amazing. I work in b&w myself, prefer the range of tones and the colors that are left unstated. I think it's much more defining. I love the cover of Complete Poems.... For me it was a big part of what sets the tone of the book itself. It's a perfect image, I think. I have always loved the image of Joni in the car, LHAO...some cat print seat covers that match her shirt. It's a great shot and I love it that she looks so delighted. It makes her look a bit like a bad ass...lol...until you notice the boots...unscuffed and virtually new! Ahhhh the minor details, but so indicative of our girl, no? Coincidentally I was checking out the image, went to NS's website and was DEE-FREAKIN-LITED to learn that he is selling digital prints now, prices are excellent, and I was able to order an unsigned 23"x32" print for $95 plus shipping! This is a steal although on a print that size (the minimum, unfortunately) the framing will no doubt cost substantially more than the print!!! No matter, I am so excited to get it and will post regarding quality etc as soon as the print arrives. I have an amazing image of Keith Richards and the two prints are going to look incredible near one another. I hope I am not redundant with this post...new to the list and had not seen any posts regarding this. Additionally, there are of course more selections...great images of Joan as well as other artists. If you haven't, check it out!
