As for C&S being her "best" record, it was certainly her most commercially
successful, contained her only "hit" single, and unlike some its peers at
the time still sounds incredible today.


Hi Bob,

I think that "Help Me" off of C&S was her second hit single. "You Turn Me
on I'm a Radio"  was her first hit single (for those who may not know -it
was released in October 1972 and it became Joni's first hit single,
reaching the Top 20 in January 1973. Apparently this song was written
because David Geffen had asked her to write a song that would be popular on
the radio and by making 'radio' a part of the song - it was sort of a spoof
commercial success)
