She fought back and won. To be fair, it was a rather egregious application of the code. I'd be curious to see her federal returns, especially the occupation line. (Painter derailed by circumstance? Composer? Retired?) Her property tax bill is probably minimal, considering she bought the Bel Air place 40 years ago. Gotta love Prop 13! She's also possibly a social conservative, as some have inferred that she is anti-abortion.
