My original DED was on vinyl, and it still sounds better to me than my CD version or other digital versions, although I have to admit that I have not heard the remastered digital stuff. Then again, I left my vinyl behind when I left the States, so ... :-( Lori in Dotzheim ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Aug 2012 09:01:15 -0500 From: Sharon Watkins Subject: Graham Nash - Another Sleep Song (with Joni Mitchell) live at Wembley 1974 Just found this on YouTube. Love the song and Joni's haunting background vocals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jv46ZzoY8LU&feature=youtube_gdata_player Sent from my iPhone ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Aug 2012 08:25:31 -0400 From: Bob.Muller@Fluor.com Subject: RE: Joni's gardens I enjoyed the article and pictures a lot. I'm sure Joni finds a lot of joy and peace in this space. I love how the gardens are beautiful without being immaculate. Almost inspirational in fact, makes me want to spruce up the space in the wilderness of my back yard. The Buddha reminds me of my time in China - many gardens and public green spaces prominently featured a Buddha. They are as beautiful as her paintings and music. I especially love the photo of her pool - it looks like it was built in the 20s like the house. I've seen a few of these early type California pools in older houses and they are incredibly built and majestic and include the old Catalina or Malibu tiles. I never thought of surface noise or lack of crispness in sound as "warm". Of course, I still treasure my complete Joni on vinyl, but I don't play them. "Joanie" Mitchell... "Negro protest music"...funny how almost ALL of these performers have a Joni connection.
