So many things happening here in Seattle. My 23 yr. old son, James suffered a stroke in May. When it happened he fell and did a face plant, breaking his nose and impacting his brain on the inside of his skull. I am happy to report he is recovering very well though he is still feeling the financial impact without insurance and his speech is slow to come back to normal. We had a slew of consecutive visitors beginning with our lovely list-mate Ashara. It was so great to get together with her and Mark Scott and Travis, we had a terrific gathering. Then 2 of my friends from Michigan followed in quick succession so I was worn out from seeing the sights and all the walking we did. What a great time we all had. Now I'm undergoing some serious dental work. I had all of my lower teeth removed and underwent oral surgery drilling my lower jaw and placing 2 titanium implants so that a lower denture can be clipped into place. It takes 3-5 months for the titanium to integrate with the bone then we're good to go! I will be following up with the exact same procedure for my upper teeth some time next year; that requires 4 implants. I haven't been going out of the house too much... it's a dignity thing. My husband, Brad, continues to be the light of my life and my hero... Third time was definitely a charm for me. I do read the list but it's not a daily activity any more.
