I checked out her website at the time and thought her work was very wonderful and well done. I was a little jealous of her having a Joni tea cup for a painting water and brush container ;-) Didn't respond because I feel I talk too much, too - haha! Catherine - you never talk too much and we always love your posts! As for the mysterious creative process, most artists, writers and composers all experience that trance-like state. When I was studying art and education a million years ago, I found some early, rudimentary research on this phenomenon. Researchers found that people involved in creative pursuits did have somewhat differently wired brains from the norm and exhibit heavy alpha brain wave activity during the creative process vs. "normal" beta brain wave activity. It is like they switch to a different "channel" that is more meditative and trance-like. NJC On the Tapestry CD, Carole King sings <'Cause you make me feel like a natural woman> Aretha Franklin sings So, did Aretha hear it wrong, or did she change the line? Does anyone have access to Carole King's demo of this song? What did she sing before Tapestry? Carole's version gives him all of the credit. Aretha's version holds something back, I think.
