Certain released compilations have done a good job of remastering certain tracks and Blue in particular received HD treatment, but I focused on four albums that to me needed a lot of help sonically and that are less well known to the public. I believe you will hear dramatic improvement in all four of these and hear details you never heard before. STAS and Mingus are from my 2007 mastering spree; some of you already have those. DED and DJRD I just did this month and I employed sonic tools that literally unmask hidden sounds in the mix. Very cool, if you are geekly inclined! They are all in Apple Lossless format and ready to be dropped into iTunes and burned onto full resolution CDs from there if you wish. There is an accompanying pdf of mastering notes that tells more about the undertaking. RIP Bill Anderson...... cheers all, Dave http://www.daveblackburn.com/ ------------------------------ End of JMDL Digest V2012 #25 **************************** ------- To post messages to the list, send tojoni@smoe.org.
