Talk about yuck... And hey, way to go on the weight loss. The Ex-pat lifestyle has taken its toll on me, I've put on about 12 pounds and am now as heavy as I have every been. But not for long, I will jump back into my routine next week and attempt to more closely resemble my former self. I can't stand most pork though and never could, especially roast pork - yuk! Ham grosses me out, although I will still very occasionally have a ham-and-swiss sandwich. I will admit I sometimes eat bacon, but I'm heading towards vegetarianism anyway. Since my kid already is one, it's easier not to have to make two meals. Often I'll make a veggie dish and stirfry chicken for my daughter who's not ready to give it up just yet. Sometimes I'll have a bit of chicken, but less than half of what I used to eat, and sometimes I'll just eat the veg dish. I don't like tofu either (it's boring and overly processed and I don't care to eat a lot of processed foods for a whole bunch of reasons.) Lately, if I eat meat, I just get a belly ache after, so I think my body is getting used to the veggie options. Between that and joining Weightwatchers online, I've lost 45 pounds since mid-February, so I may be doing something right after all these years. >________________________________ > From: Lori Fye >To: Joni List >Sent: Friday, November 25, 2011 10:27:10 AM >Subject: Re: Song for Sharon now T-giving and foods and NJC > >> Perhaps too good, since the turkey industry has been trying to make turkey >> "not just for Christmas and Thanksgiving!" but without a lot of success. > >The turkey industry still has to compete with the ham industry, as ham >remains a popular entree for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
