Like most of you, this JT album is at or near the top of the list. I had a roommate (still one of my bestest buds) who would play "Machine Gun Kelly" over and over until I hollered. Happy weekend all - a VERY hazy day here in Noodletown. Love Has Brought Me Around is an all time fave. Places in My Past and Long Ago And Far Away faves to play on piano and guitar. The Joni B/G Vox on there send me. I think that the the rest of the lyrics represent the then fashionable back to nature escapism. Great song though, my favourite from the album and my favourite JT song. Also, it might have been a useful retreat from his allegedly anti-semitic parents later on. That I don't believe. I think rather his parents were hoping for incredibly talented if possibly wayward or unconventional grandchildren out of Joni. Possibly Carly made some chicken soup using what she thought was salt and fed it to Mr and Mrs T, and it turned out to be white powder from James' secret stash, with predictable consequences?
