You can stream it here, where she plays two new songs, live on acoustic guitar. http://www.cbc.ca/video/#/Radio/Q/1560020246/ID=2148399993 She claims Joni to be her great muse and inspiration - and listing to her music you can hear the influence. Catherine, You failed to mention that she got four (4) photos n this rag PLUS a cover shot (small....but it's there)!! Two of the photos op middle of pages 34 & 35. She's prominently displayed. Yahoo! http://jonimitchell.com/library/view.cfm?id=2435 Honestly, just a few eeks ago I was thinking that her Morgellons disease is just the kind of thing tabloid would pick up on and write about. I even considered subscribing to he National Enquirer and Examiner just in case so I wouldn't miss an rticle. I never heard of The Globe...sounds European. But then I usually nly buy these supermarket tabloids to enter a sweepstakes, and that's arely. So, I do appreciate the heads-up. Ran out to buy The Globe. First tore didn't have it. I'm glad I was persistent at the second store I went to ecause I had to walk by 6 registers, and all the other tabloids, before I ound a register with The Globe! I pretty much gave up bu then, finally, a lean crisp copy. So I bought two! Thanks Catherine! I was amazed to discover that her powerful voice has hardly changed since the 70's. She still reaches all those high notes with ease. The last time I saw her was in 1990 at the Greek Theatre in Berkley, with Lyle Lovett. She wears her hair like Joni, blond with bangs, and was sporting funky see-through clothes. I must say she comes off a bit like a tyrant on stage, coaching fellow band members about their work during the show and fussing (complaining) constantly with the monitors. They spent most of the 2-hour, non-stop set sitting on chairs - conserving energy ? She played many of the songs from her 1979 breakout album. A true original, at 57 she's still sounding and looking great, and has managed to keep her groove on, despite upheavals in her personal life. There's hope for the rest of us, lol !
