Whenever I try to listen to the interviews I get a display that says: "Sorry the link you requested is not available". Seems odd that this page would still be available but not the links. Anyone know a way to get this to work? I am not technologically savy enough to figure it out. http://www.cbc.ca/jonimitchell/index.html?copy-interviews Thanks for your help! Might just be the internet connection, I'll give it another try. From the New York Times: Dylan Tangled Up in Nobel Prize Speculation By JULIE BOSMAN Predictions for the Nobel Prize in Literature tend to be all over the place, especially in the final hours before the winner is named. But Bob Dylan? On the eve of the announcement of the prize, Ladbrokes, the British bookmaking chain, said that Mr. Dylan, the songwriter and author, had 5:1 odds of winning the Nobel, placing him ahead of Adonis, the Syrian poet; Haruki Murakami, the Japanese novelist; and Peter Nadas, a Hungarian writer. Mr. Dylan has been cited as a contender for the prize before, but he has received an unusual amount of buzz in the last day. However, Ladbrokes and other betting sites are not especially skilled at Nobel laureate predictions. In 2010, Adonis and the Swedish poet Tomas Transtromer topped the lists of possible winners in the days leading up to the announcement. The actual winner b coming relatively out of nowhere b was Mario Vargas Llosa, the Peruvian writer. This yearbs Nobel laureate will be announced by the Swedish Academy at 1 p.m. Stockholm time on Thursday. - --------------------------- Joni often has spoken about the lack of recognition of her work as poetry. I recall an interview in the Netherlands where she spoke about Dylan and Morrison being talked about as poets but not her. Personally I've never been a big Dylan fan so I find this utterly baffling. Best wishes to all. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 06 Oct 2011 05:50:34 +0200 From: Moni Kellermann Subject: Re: Interviews with Joni's Parents > http://www.cbc.ca/jonimitchell/index.html?copy-interviews They removed the audio from the server. The files are no longer there. That's a common practice of news sites. They keep the pages but remove audio and video files after a certain time. > Sent from my iPhone How interesting. m. ------------------------------ End of JMDL Digest V2011 #325 ***************************** ------- To post messages to the list, send to joni@smoe.org.
