The memoir, bA Natural Woman,b is scheduled for release in April 2012. Deb Futter, the editor in chief of the hardcover division for Grand Central Publishing, an imprint of the Hachette Book Group, said in a statement, bIt will be a thrill to bring her lifebs journey to her devoted following who have waited so long to read her story in prose.b The book will chart Ms. Kingbs upbringing in Brooklyn and her career as a songwriter and musician. So as I explained in a message a few weeks ago (trying to share my "lessons learned" after having had my own account hacked into), check your account details carefully, in case this alternative address is still part of your own account, and then make sure you delete it! In addition, I'm sure you know to change your password, security questions etc. Good luck, and if you find out anything else that may be useful, please share it with us! I have no way of knowing if this was really you or not, but I hope that by going via the JMDL, you will see this for sure. You need to check in your account details if messages sent to "Merk" (with a capital) are being forwarded to "merk", this is what was happening to me. I don't really want to say more until I know that you can see the messages sent to you, or whether this is being forwarded to the spammer. Lieve PS If anyone knows how to contact Jack by phone, I would ask them to do so, and to pass this message on. Also please tell him that if he isn't receiving emails, at least he can get to JMDL messages via the archive http://www.smoe.org/lists/joni/ ________________________________ From: "Merk54@aol.com" To: joni@smoe.org Sent: Monday, 13 June 2011, 15:46 Subject: Bogus emails Just want to apologize to anyone who might of received some bogus emails from my account. Except for the headphones, that is exactly how I first heard it and exactly what I wondered! The album at first listen left me with the feeling that Joni was very sad and the stark black and white art work only enhanced the feeling of some desolation within her. However, while reading the amazing lyrics and listening to the complex, intricate and layered music, I also felt she had risen above whatever had affected her. I had this feeling that she had been really "knocked for a loop" by something. While I thought the album was another masterpiece, it took me many years to really "like" it. When the next album, DJRD, came out, I couldn't wait to listen and try to discern how she was doing subsequently. Ha - it was kind of wild and out there for that time, but it felt like Joni had morphed, was laughing it all away and had moved on to another place. That one also took many years to fully appreciate but has long been in my top 3 Joni.
