I used to keep used stamps, had boxes full of them, but then gave them away and haven't kept any since. Still, Mags, if I get a nice collection over Christmas, I will let you know. (But people are more and more using email, so I'm not holding my breath!) Just cut off the corner of the envelope w/the stamp on it? I don't get much mail, but I can collect from others in the house, too. Do you need stuff right away, or can it wait till the xmas season? I still have your snail mail. ;-) T On Fri, Nov 26, 2010 at 9:52 AM, Mags wrote: > thanks for chiming in Lieve and gene. Most of the problem comes from the Smoe server archives. I've contacted the owner a number of times in the past year, all to no response. Short of driving over to his house and pulling the plug on his server, I think we are stuck with that situation. On the other hand, for those who are interested in a legitimate, fully searchable, up-to-the-latest-digest archive of the JMDL, it is now available again. This database is locked behind closed doors and will not be picked up by any search engine. It requires a login - one which will be only 'advertised' here on the list. This login information will change every few months (and, again, announced only here on the list) to keep it as secure as possible. Check it out - quite handy indeed if I say so myself. http://jmdl.com username: siquomb password: sisotowbell Thanks, Les NP: The Tallest Man on Earth "King of Spain"... man, I love this guy's music! ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 Nov 2010 22:46:44 -0800 From: Lori Fye Subject: Re: stamps of many countries NJC Don't know if I have any old posted/canceled stamps, Mags, but I'll have a look and, if I find any, they're yours. Maybe I'm an odd one here (okay, that's true for a number of reasons), but I personally like the fact that I can find my old JMDL posts online.
