I'd also like to commiserate with that string a popping just when you didn't want it to. It sounds like you got through it really well and probably not many folk would notice the difference - but I know that feeling of it not being the very best you can give and that's frustrating. But I guess that's what happens in rock n'roll. But I bet the audience still loved ya! There is a photo link too. We saw the meteorite crater in Arizona this past summer. The wind that catches in the crater and blows up over the opposite rim can just about knock a person down. http://news.yahoo.com/s/space/20101011/sc_space/forgetbigasteroidsitsthesmallerrocksthatsneakinandblowup Love, Laura ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Oct 2010 09:20:37 -0400 From: Susan Tierney McNamara Subject: RE: 2nd Annual Joni Mitchell Tribute Concert, Ithaca, NY REVIEW Thanks Anita, it's another testament to Joni that the songs were just as powerful with only 5 strings! :-) - -----Original Message----- From: Anita G [mailto:lawntreader@googlemail.com] Sent: Tuesday, October 12, 2010 5:12 AM To: Lieve Reckers Cc: Susan Tierney McNamara; jonilist JMDL; Patti Witten; Joseph Gaylord Subject: Re: 2nd Annual Joni Mitchell Tribute Concert, Ithaca, NY REVIEW Sue, I'd like to join the thanks for the detailed review and say I always find it wonderful when folk come together to play Joni's music and this one sounds a really slick show. If we Joniphiles haven't earned the right to listen to the cheesey and smarmy, who has, right? This morning had me listening to the Crystals' "Little Boy" and "Oh, Yeah, Maybe, Baby." Oh, and how about "Over the Mountain" and "Angel Baby"? When the disco music of the 70's hit the waves, I bought my first Joni album Don Juan's...Daughter--which led to Hejira. I was 10 when a group called Neighborhood brought out "Big Yellow Taxi." It was a selection on Rate A Record on American Bandstand. With my crew cut and shorts, I was all over the floor in front of the TV (black and white) dancing. Hey, it had a great beat and I could dance to it. I felt like Tracey Turnblad on the Corny Collins Show!!! ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Oct 2010 22:04:25 +0000 From: William Waddell Subject: Eagles in the sky crawl and fly Having an evening of Joni.
