[Paul Castle Subject: PazFest II Photos Hi Everybody, I've just entered my photos on Flickr for those of you that are not on Facebook. And, even if you are on FB, check them out by using the SLIDESHOW function if you haven't seen them. It's in the upper right corner. I tried to make it somewhat in order as the events occurred. The first two photos are of Patti P. and Chris. We saw CSN at Tanglewood the night before PazFest. Here is the link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/43317869@N08/sets/72157624804946259/detail/ I still have a report to write, but I hope these will do for the moment. I also have several people I want to thank. Thanks Paul, I am promoting you to "Advanced Scout 1st Class". Anyway, the CD is from the Joni Mitchell Project, made up of Sally Barker (vocals/guitar), Glenn Hughes (keyboards/dulcimer), and Debbie Cassell (banjo/vocals). I actually have posted some of the songs in the Covers series as Sally had them available on her site. You can go here to check out the details: http://tinyurl.com/2unrlsb Tracklist: Conversation For Free Raised On Robbery BYT Coyote A Case Of You Chelsea Morning River Dry Cleaner From Des Moines Carey Blue Nothing past the 70's which is typical. No Both Sides Now which is not. Bob, with 3,318 Joni covers under his belt NP: Richard Thompson, "Haul Me Up" (his new one is fantastic as you'd expect - interesting as it's new songs but recorded live) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 11 Sep 2010 10:48:08 -0700 From: "Mark" Subject: Re: PazFest II Photos Lovely photos, Jody. I'm so glad everyone enjoyed the fest. It sounds like it was a truly memorable event. Kudos to Mr. Paz. Too many years have gone by since the single official Jonifest I attended at Ashara's. Circumstance of one kind or another kept Travis & I from attending the following year's fest and I haven't been able to make it to another. There have been a couple of special "mini-fests" along the way - Kakki's place after the Van Gogh exhibit way back in '98', dinner on the Seattle waterfront with Scott Price, Bob & Phyliss Ward, Catherine Turley & her husband, an all too brief meeting with Cassy & Brad before the Seattle performance of TFATD, a couple of visits with Leslie Mixon, seeing Ashara when she was out her in the Northwest, staying at Stephen Epstein's in Vancouver - but I haven't made it to another full-out Jonifest since Ashara's. The seasons go round and round and after one too many disappointment I guess the urge for going faded away somewhat. But I really wish I could have attended the New Orleans fest and the Idyllwild fest as well. It seems that everyone who went had a blast at both of these events. In the one-on-one category, I don't want to omit Patrick Leader's visit to Seattle. And also, after visiting England and falling in love with it back in 2005, the Holycombe fest is another one that I truly wish I could have attended. The setting and the company sounded so idyllic in all of the reports. I know I would have loved being there. Well maybe someday.
