For some reason, this reminds me of the converse, at least as it pertains to the JMDL as a group of people. I think of the passionate debates we've had here over the years (usually concerning politics). Yet we all seem to "get" Joni. I wonder if it will be nice and clean. Clapton and Delaney and Bonnie are among those from whom I could never seem to get a good sounding either vinyl album or CD. Just very muddy. And that's so frustrating when you know there's great music under that wet blanket. Like that CD of Clapton's - the one with "Let it Rain" on it.....sheesh...its awful, just due to either the production OR the version of the CD I have. Just very flat and B A D and I think, distorted. :) thanks, Randy, for posting this! August 3rd is the scheduled release date. "Filmmaker Lisa Cholodenkobs Sundance hit 'The Kids Are All Right' is an intimate portrait of a bmodern familyb consisting of mum and mum, daughter and son, with the 'dad' role narrowed down to a specimen selected from the local sperm bank. When the kids become teenagers they decide to look for their biological father - cue dramatic tension and the upheaval of the uncomplicated (if traditionally unconventional) family life. Julianne Moore and Annette Bening star as the middle-aged lesbian partners, Australian actress Mia Wasikowska (the Alice of Tim Burton's 'Wonderland') as one of the teenage kids, and Mark Ruffalo as the sperm donor father." I think it's the way it was mixed, or recorded. That first Clapton album has been remastered and has a storied history. The first LP was accidentally released with Clapton's own rough mixes. Tom Dowd's mixes were used after that, but Delaney was originally going to mix it. Now there is a 2 disc set that includes all of Delaney's mixes and other extras. Clapton's original mix can be heard on the "Unsurpassed Clapton" bootleg. The only one I have is the single CD remaster, which, to the best of my memory, sounds pretty good.
