I remember this edition, Bob. Good collection. The stand out track on this one by far, Cris Williamson and Holly Near's cover of The Tea Leaf Prophecy. Almost better than Joni's. I would consider Susuma Yokota's, Sons To Aging Children a remix rather than a cover. Which is why I also included it in my Joni Remixed collection. Speaking of remixes, Chris Moore from Canada sent me his remix of the remix for Shiny Toys. The original remix is called, The Francois Kevorkian Remix and Chris has added in about another minute to make it 6:40 and called it Chris' Doctor Kevorkian Remix (I don't believe there is any relation between Dr Kevorkian and Francois). Excellent job. Mark in Sydney ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 16 Jun 2010 09:25:15 -0700 (PDT) From: Monika Bogdanowicz Subject: NJC Band contest Hey Joni people! I'm not sure if I ever said or not but I've playing guitar in an alt rock/prog rock type band. We're still working musically and hope to add 1 more member before playing shows but.....my band DEAD AIR is in a contest to open up for KISS at a local venue in my area in September. I ask for your help. Go to: http://eventful.com/competitions/kiss2010/cleveland/demands?page_number=3 Vote for DEAD AIR (Cleveland). Use zipcode "44136" when prompted and demand DEAD AIR to play Cleveland. Thanks! - -Mon ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 16 Jun 2010 16:00:20 -0700 (PDT) From: Catherine McKay Subject: Re: NJC Band contest Stupid website *knew* I was in Toronto, so you have ONE demand to appear in Toronto. That means you have to come. I'll try again later to fool it into thinking I'm in Cleveland. (I also made myself 20 years younger than I really am, because that's one thing you CAN fool websites about - so far.) ________________________________ From: Monika Bogdanowicz To: joni@smoe.org Sent: Wed, June 16, 2010 12:25:15 PM Subject: NJC Band contest Hey Joni people!
