Never thought Pan's People were as good as the dancers on American pop shows, though. I've just been watching the sensational 1964 T.A.M.I. Show DVD - get a load of the dancers with Marvin Gaye on 'Can I Get A Witness" - bouncy or what!! - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8_Uh5gjUFE But the best dancing on the DVD is undoubtedly by James Brown and The Famous Flames on 'Night Train' - see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeGsFnwRPq4 I read that Keith from The Stones (who came on next) has said that choosing to follow this was the biggest mistake of their careers. best to all PaulC NP Crooked Still - You Got The Silver (Keith Richards) On 2 June 2010 13:33, Laura Stanley wrote: > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXiCxQwXtE4&feature=fvw ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Jun 2010 13:24:12 -0400 From: Rose M Joy Subject: Re: To Dr. Countee with Love njc Wow Al, I didn't see the Joni conection when I first received this email!! Small world isn't it?!? And yes, both Dr Countee and his young partner at that time, Dr Barry Pollack performed my neurosurgery for a ruptured disc in my cervical spine back in 1990. It was scary stuff as I'm sure you are acquainted with. He had done many amazing things during his career and was such a gentle man. I was born & raised in Plainfield, NJ and was referred to him by my doctor when my symptoms first occurred. Dr Countee however was on vacation, so Dr Barry acquired my case. He wanted to do my surgery, but I said only if Countee is by your side! lol Dr Countee was a smoker, did you know that? So tell me Al, when did you join the Joni list? We welcome Joni Mitchell songs recorded by JMDLers. Although new recordings would be great we realize not everyone has recording capabilities. So you can send in recordings from past Joni Fests or revisit other favorite recordings that JMDLers have done. For those of you who did not receive the original posting from Dave Blackburn about sending your song contribution you can email Dave at beatntrack@sbcglobal.net He will help you with the specifics on what and how to send him the songs and then he will compile and master them in a nice downloadable package. Let's all pull together and help keep our beloved JoniMitchell.com up and running.
