I read many years ago in an interview with her that she loved Blue. Here you can watch yesterdays show: http://player.omroep.nl/?aflID=10978606 (hope the link works). ... I actually just watched this show myself. At 35.59 on the timeline starts the interview with Carice (introduced as Holland's best actress). She loves music and has been asked to organize a music event in Utrecht (Vredenburg venue) called *De nacht van Carice* (Carice's Night), a live concert with her favorite music. She will not perform herself. At 38.51 on the timeline she talks about Joni: Blue is one of her favorite albums ever. Her love for Joni began at a time in her life when she was very in love (she doesn't want to say who her love object was at the time). People keep listening and admiring Joni through all these years. She loves her more than she loves Bob Dylan (another favorite of hers): Joni's voice is more beautiful, she can do much more with it and she is a girl. So Bob, this means new Joni covers soon! Ellen DeGeneres chose "Maybe I'm Amazed" by Paul McCartney for Crystal Bowersox. Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson chose "Daughters" by John Mayer for Casey James. Simon Cowell chose "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen for Lee Dewyze I think Crystal will do well with "Maybe I'm Amazed", but I'm suprised Simon chose "Hallelujah" for Lee, especially since Tim Urban sang it last month. It will be interesting what the contestants song choices will be. The song has that powerful middle section where she can cut loose, plus it's just a dang GREAT song. "Daughters" is a nice song but it sets Casey up for a lazy vocal so they can accuse him of being lazy. There's no way to sing that song with a lot of energy. Setting him up for failure unless he can rip out a solid guitar solo to go with it. As for "Hallelujah", Simon says it's his fave song of all time. Maybe he's just being lazy in his choice, maybe he wants to get Turban's vocal out of his mind. It's his last season so he probably doesn't care much. Go Mamasox! I would not consider this before, but when one needs money, one needs money. These are two beautiful and very artistic large, framed B&W photos taken by a (now deceased, I think) local professional photographer in the Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada area. I would like to offer it to Joni first, and fans second, if she/they are interested! I have no way of getting in touch with her and don't know if this is the best venue. Sorry I can't provide a digital photo of the two pictures as my digital camera is broken right now, but I will arrange to do so if there is any interest. These photos are professionally matted and one is a double-exposure. Cheers, and thanks for any help you can provide.
