I was in the first row, and actually got to stand in the press area to take pictures for the first three songs. I love Joni with this band. Greg Leisz was amazing. The whole day had an other worldly feel for me. At one point, in between songs, during her set a V of wild geese flew over the stage and you could hear the crowd ahhh as if the moment was sacred. Wow I know that sounds over the top but I guess you had to be there. One of my favorite memories. The other acts were great that day too, with a finale by Pete Townsend of See Me Feel Me with a gospel choir. It's great to hear another of your live shows. Do you have anything in the works from the era of "The Hissing Of Summer Lawns" and "Don Juan's Reckless Daughter"? That's my favorite period. Will the Carnegie Hall show ever make it to release? The "Shine" CD made a big impression on our local radio station which specializes in singer-songwriters. They played "One Week Last Summer" and "This Place" (back to back) every weekday for about a month. Is it my imagination or was the bear your muse? In the liner notes it almost sounds like he delivered inspiration to your doorstep. It is featured on Joni Mitchell.com. I placed an order, and paid for it, on 31 October since then nothing. They have not replied to my emails, 4 to date, and no sign of the cd. Does anybody know anything about this organisation? There are no contact details on their website, always a bad sign, and i only have their email address because i paid via PayPal. I want to send well wishes to everyone here on the jmdl for a good holiday season this year. The fourth volume of live performances recorded at Neil and Pegi Young's annual non-profit Bridge School Concert series becomes available digitally tomorrow at iTunes. The 22-track set includes John Mellencamp's performance of "Jackie Brown," which was recorded at the Oct. 29, 2005 Bridge School Benefit. The concerts benefit the unique Bridge School learning complex in Hillsborough, Cal., which assists children with severe physical impairments and challenging communication needs. The first was held in 1986, and has continued each year to host an all-star lineup. Among the other notables on "The Bridge School Collection, Volume IV" are Josh Groban, Trent Reznor, John Mayer, Tom Waits & Kronos Quartet, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ministry, My Morning Jacket, Norah Jones, Tegan & Sara, Death Cab for Cutie and Band of Horses. Proceeds from the iTunes downloads will once again be donated to the school.
