I had to memorize it by heart in high school. And I thank that teacher most every day that I did. William Blake,an amazing artist. Consider that in his lifetime he never left the city of London. Do you remember the 2 episodes called Tyger Tyger on Dr. Kildare that starred Yvette Mimieux as a surfer? I don't know why, but I remember it well after all these 45 years since it was broadcast. Joni Mitchell mentioned in The Archers. For all you non-UK Listers, The Archers is a radio drama with a huge following in the UK amongst the over... em... over... well, let's just say older than me. Radio 4 apparently has a demographic with the average age of 71. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00mzvr3/The_Archers_08_10_2009/ - -- Jamie Zubairi Actor, Voiceover, Painter, Photographer. She was looking for the perfect wave, smooth as glass and had a seizure when she finally found it and was surfing on it. Or something like that. Richard Chamberlain and Yvette Mimieux also starred in a movie called 'Joy in the Morning' and Dr. Kildare sang the theme song, I believe. Mem'ries Light the corners of my mind... Oh dear, Melissa. You really are showing your age if you remember Young Talent Time. I have to disagree if you think Tiny Tina was the only one with talent. Oops, I guess I just gave away my age a little bit there too. What about poor drug f***** Debra Byrne or sweet Liberace plaything, Jamie Redfern? Philip Gould? Tina went on to have the most successful career though and why not? She has such a strong voice. Of course, me being from an Italian (by marriage) background, it was the wog chick from Melbourne we were all rooting for. I have a friend visiting from Paris at the moment and he knows Tina very well due to an album she recorded in French. It apparently did very well on the charts there. I must say, I do like her cover of BSN. It's obviously a cover of the 2000 version with those strings. I do, however, love Wendy Matthews cover of Cherokee Louise. One of my favourite singers, performing my favourite songwriter's material...bliss! As most Aussies know, Wendy moved to Australia from Canada (I thought she was from Toronto) in the mid '80s after a successful career as a backing singer in the States (I believe she performed on tour and in the studio with Streisand and Franklin amongst others) and sang guest vocalist with bands, Absent Friends and the Rockmelons before embarking on her enormously successful solo career. Can't wait to see/hear what else she performs later this month at the Joni tribute show at the Sydney Opera House. See ya there, Mel.
