The way she builds that Fillmore East crowd up during the show, and then comes 'Save The Country' and everyone goes bananas. I can just feel the crowd's excitement. Wish I was there. I would've been swinging from the balconies (were there balconies at the Fillmore East?) My understanding is that Laura didn't do the arrangements on her first album. She wasn't allowed that freedom until Eli. I guess in the execs' eyes she was just a nineteen year old 'girl' who's just supposed to sing and look pretty. I don't even think they let her play piano on the first album. But, you're right, even the first album has its moments. I like it, in spite of its flaws. I hate to think about it. That said, this isn't the forum to enforce morality of any sort. As much as the JMDL feels like "family," it really is just a listserv made up of humans, and there's no moral hurdle that any of us need clear to be able to discuss Joni. If I was in your situation and felt like this person presents a further threat, I might contact his local authorities, tell what I knew, and leave them to enforce the law, knowing that they might or might not ever act on that information. If I felt that this person presents a threat to a specific individual here on this list, perhaps I'd contact that person privately and tell what I knew, knowing that they might or might not act on your advice. If you yourself feel seriously threatened, I think you should contact your local law enforcement. Eventually karma will out. cindy _________________________________________________________________ Store, manage and share up to 5GB with Windows Live SkyDrive. http://skydrive.live.com/welcome.aspx?provision=1?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_skydrive_ 102008 ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 16 Oct 2008 11:27:49 -0700 (PDT) From: Em Subject: Re: NJC, Joe Six-Pack "Joe 6-Pack" profession (as we saw last night in the debate): PLUMBER!!!!!! :) I bet they are the same guy. Amen to that, Brother! I played 'Spread Your Wings and Fly' every day around Election Day in 2004, cranking it and singing along with 'Save the Country' at the top of my lungs, trying to will the outcome of the election.
