I'm just a one time listener of the disklavier. Last year, Ed and I attended his boss's Christmas party and they have one of these very expensive pianos. His boss does play the piano, but not very well. I thought it was just a regular piano, and some of the employees at the party played while we all sang Christmas songs. Then I was in the other room and heard a beautifully played Christmas song. When I went to the living room, there was no one sitting at the piano. That's when Ed told me his boss had a disklavier. Even though it wasn't a person playing, the sound was incredible and it did sound like a live performance and MUCH better than a stereo. I know that some people want some minor flaws when listening to music, but just imagine Victor playing a carrot without making a single mistake. Who knows? Maybe they will start making some discs that hit a few wrong notes to make it more realistic. I just know that if someone gave me one, I'd certainly keep it, especially since you can still play it like a regular piano and it doesn't run on gasoline :) Jimmy (in Florida where it finally quit raining after 4 non stop day s) ************** Get fantasy football with free live scoring.
