Next week I'll be staying somewhere else. Yes. I move from my hometown. I've been repositioned to Tax Office in Bekasi. It's like moving from a small peaceful town (say : Greensville, SC) to big polluted industrial-commercial city like Detroit. Bekasi is near Jakarta. On eastern border of the capital city. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bekasi So, starting from next week, I'll be living in a strange place where nobody knows me. It's so scary for me. So so scary. To be honest... I don't know how to handle this. I'm a type of person who is afraid of strange places. So, probably this is the last post from me... for now. I'll be joining you again as soon as I can handle my new life there. I know I'll miss you all. (thanks again Bob who sent it to me first and Gary who sent it to me second and made sure I listened) (I hope this email does not get all chopped up) Have good day everyone. Love Is Like A Big Brass Band by Joni Mitchell For our first time together I wanted everything to be just rightI prayed for good weatherFor we were going to a concert in the park that nightI wanted violins and sweet romantic melodiesBut when the band began to playIt didn't turn out quite that wayFor there were trumpets and trombones Making sad sounds and glad tonesAnd notes that I will never understandAnd there were tin horns and oboes and saxophone solosNow you know and I know love is like a big brass bandWe wasted no time nowWe planned a wedding for the first of JuneHear the wedding bells chime nowAnd see the folks all watching for the bride and groomWaiting for violins and sweet romantic melodiesBut when we started down the aisleYou should have seen the preacher smileFor there were trumpets and trombones Making sad sounds and glad tonesAnd notes that I will never understandAnd there were tin horns and oboes and saxophone solosNow I know and you know love is like a big brass band Copyright ) 1967; Gandalf Publishing Company _________________________________________________________________ The other season of giving begins 6/24/08. I just saw parts of it and was really touched by Luke's tribute to his father. "The boy was just like me. The boy was just like me." The gift goes on.... Then one of the commentators said that they were playing a "ukulele version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow" as people were exiting (I wonder if it's the one we were discussing recently when Kakki's mention of the gentle Hawaiian trade winds made me remember the ER episode with the billowing white curtains when Mark died, the one byIsrael Kamakawiwo'ole that Vince can spell so effortlessly). ANYWAY, the heart and mind blower is that when people got outside they saw a DOUBLE RAINBOW. Wow. Can you imagine? Goosebumps. Particle of change orbiting around the sun, turning into a double rainbow. Ya gotta believe. (Well, YOU don't gotta, but I do.) The commentator also said that you don't see too many double rainbows in your life. They are like a solar eclipse. I've seen one in my life. ~ _________________________________________________________________ The im Talkathon starts 6/24/08.
