Another actress that occurred to me was Emily Browning to play Carly Simon. You may remember her from Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. You would have thought a thousand had showed up. And last year he showed up at our St. Pete Pride to march in the parade. I was the organizer of the Promenade and the line up was set for weeks. Not surprised at all that the MSM did not cover it. I've read that CNN belatedly had a story 3 days later on it, buried between titillating fluffy non-stories to keep the masses zombified. When you have government and corporations which control the government, controlling the media as well, you are being delivered propaganda. The founders did not envision this, as they always saw the Fourth Estate as keeping check on the other branches of government with a free press. Think George Orwell. Dennis was and is the premier Democratic candidate but he was effectively shut out by the MSM for his inconvenient truths. At the very least there will be a Congressional Record, a lengthy one at that with 35 articles of impeachment with the facts to back them up, that will document these truths and that no party can destroy or "lose" or erase. The timing is not insignificant either (again showing how exceptionally brave and intelligent Dennis is) with the appearance of Scott McClellan before Congress coming in the next week. - -- - -Mark in Florida On Thu, Jun 12, 2008 at 12:20 PM, gene wrote: > Dennis Kucinich has done me proud----- after considerable resistance from > both parties (party politics) he had to read the entire indictment (over 4 > hours) on the floor of the House in order to get the indictment introduced > and into the Congressional Record . And as I listened with awe to Kucinich, I realized that no newspaper in the U.S., no broadcast or cable network, would pay much notice to the fact that a highly respected member of Congress was asking for the president and vice president to be tried for crimes which were carefully listed by Kucinich in his articles requesting impeachment. But then I have known for a long time that the media of the U.S. and too many of its elected officials give not a flying fuck for the welfare of this republic, and so I turned, as I often do, to the foreign press for a clear report of what has been going on in Congress...It is Le Monde, a French newspaper, that told a story the next day hardly touched by The New York Times or The Washington Post or The Wall Street Journal or, in fact, any other major American media outlet. Gore Vidal Gore Vidal's Articles of Impeachment The fact that this story made the headlines in France and Ireland and Germany etc. actually does more harm than good. The effect is this. At home within their borders they see this legitimate earth shattering news and assume that it is so here in the US as well. So when nothing happens and Bush remains in office, foreign hatred for Americans festers because they say to themselves "how could Americans keep this despot in power". It is the same syndrome that occurred during WWII with Germany. There was a media blackout there, and the German citizens only believed what Hitler's propaganda ministers told them and the rest of the world was thinking how could the citizens of Germany not know what was happening. Internationally Celebrated Artist Yoko Ono Invites the Public to Make a Wish At a Site-Specific Temporary Installation in Pasadena Internationally celebrated artist Yoko Ono will present a major installation of her participatory work, Wish Trees, in the large central courtyard at One Colorado from August 2 through November 9, 2008. The installation will consist of a number of living trees selected by the artist, and which are identified with the environment or history of Southern California. Visitors are invited to write their wishes on pieces of paper and hang them on the tree branches. Public access to Onos art installation and the One Colorado Courtyard is free. Wishes from Pasadena will be joined with wishes from all over the world and placed in specially constructed capsules to be buried in the area surrounding Yoko Onos public art project in memory of John Lennon, the Imagine Peace Tower on Videy Island, off the coast of Reykjavmk, Iceland. The tower, a column of light emanating from a base with a radius of about 10 meters (approx 33 ft.), is lit for two months each year starting on October 9, John Lennon's birthday, and ending on December 9, the anniversary of his death. Yoko Onos influence for this piece is connected to her early childhood experiences in Japan: As a child, I used to go to a temple and buy a printed paper wish sold at the temple and tie it around the branch of a bush. Bushes in temple courtyards were always filled with peoples wish knots, which looked like white flowers blossoming from afar, she said. The Wish Trees have been a part of several prominent exhibitions worldwide by Yoko Ono since the 1990s. Instructions are simple: WISH PIECE -- y.o. 96 Make a wish. Write it down on a piece of paper. Fold it and tie it around a branch of a Wish Tree. Ask your friends to do the same. Keep wishing Until the branches are covered with wishes. The act of wishing is described by Ono as a collective prayer. Some wishes are deeply personal; some represent wishes for all humankind. http://www.onecolorado.com/fun_yokoono.php Sounds like a cool tree museum.
