I hope he wins, and I hope he delivers the promised change. And that's all. As always, my option to move out of the country remains on the table. ; ) Hi Lori, I took all of the stickers off of my car window except my work parking sticker. So the window is clear. And that is how I feel right now. Clear. Apolitical and expressionless. I was disappointed at first that Hillary won't be the nominee, but easy come, easy go. I was excited about Hillary because I am deeply pro-woman and having a woman president would have made a big change in this country by nature. Hillary got the closest out of any woman so far. And, I supported her all the way and don't regret having done so. Now we will have another man president. I wonder if one of them will pick a woman for vice president? I personally don't see Hillary as a good pick at this point. I imagine both candidates will pick a man. When I heard Carolyn Kennedy was on Obama's VP scouting committee, I thought it would have been cool if she was qualified and his pick for VP. And I'll go you one better, I'm including the intro to the song (this is a live performance from 1968) that is just as enjoyable as the song if not more so. The audio quality here is excellent which also makes it a joy to hear. I ran early this morning (since it'll get to 98 today), and a month ago there was a big black snake right in the middle of the trail through the park. I couldn't go around it because of the terrain, so after being frozen in my tracks for about 30 seconds I took a running start and leaped like Jack-Be-Nimble over the evil serpent. If we're together and spot a snake...DO NOT expect me to be the brave chivalrous knight who will rescue you, k? The only thing scarier than a snake? Plumbing. I have the night off on the 3rd so we could do something together as a group and I would not have to worry about the band or schedule or anything like that. She always gives such interesting yet bizarre stories. Not the sort that you'd hear from anybody else playing their music I would say. I love the Bo Diddley type melody in the song. Good stuff. -Monika Bob Muller wrote: https://download.yousendit.com/6136C5696CD1AFA3 Thanks for asking, Monika - I was going to do it anyway after my earlier comments about it regarding the passing of Bo Diddley. I set up a gmail account specifically for my JMDL subscription as I was getting so frustrated with how my AOL account handled the emails and I LOVE the way it combines all posts in one thread into a folder, taking up only one line (even if there are 15 responses) in your inbox. I also love the auto-save feature every minute which saves everything you've written as a draft so you don't lose anything *poof it's gone!!* if you hit a wrong button. The only thing lacking is the number of font types available (7), however, this is unimportant for subscriptions as these are translated by the less than current software on the smoe server into one consistent font-type anyways for the digests (I receive the digests and the individual e-mails as well), as well as interesting output such as " ", "=20", "=", as well as others when it encounters HTML or special codes delineating text appearance, etc... Bottom line, gmail is the best product I've stumbled upon for subscriptions, highly recommended and I don't know what I'd do without it. - -- - -Mark in Florida On Fri, Jun 6, 2008 at 8:54 PM, Lori Fye wrote: > > I have a g-mail account, but I keep forgetting it exists. > > It's actually very excellent for email list s*ub*sc*riptions, as it > combines > all the posts in one thread into one folder. > > Lori > Santa Rosa ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 7 Jun 2008 17:59:38 -0500 From: mia _ Subject: re: (NJC) New at Gmail ... FYI, " " is HTML code for "non-breaking space" so if the graphic images were rejected by the smoe server, it's highly likely they were replaced by this code. But because smoe emails are text-based, it replaced that code with the literal code, rather than the HTML "space". It seems that the issue was resolved by removing the graphics from your posts, so... problem solved ;o) Hell ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 8 Jun 2008 11:25:57 +1200 From: "hell" Subject: RE: NJC Re: Happy anniversary, Jimmy & Ed! I know you are out there under the ash tree or watching the tide role in... Just had to tell you and the list a friend of mine who is blind and who I go shopping with sometimes heard your CD playing in my car today and said, "I've got to have this album!" Then a little while later she said it again. I can't remember her other comments, but she thinks your album is excellent, and so do I.
