It's regarding an album of Joni Mitchell songs that won album of the year. I get your point but in this particular case, this message is having to do with Joni so I don't see why it is being used as an example. I understand some messages may be more directly related to Joni Mitchell and some more tangentially but in some cases it seems they could go either way, as is the case with this one. I think often people just forget to add the tag. It happens. For the most part I think people are pretty good about it. People can make a difference! If you want an end to the war, you can vote for the candidate who will most likely make that happen! If you want things to change, you can decide who is the best man (or woman) to change things! I say all this because I have sadly come across two people who are not voting and will not vote--a friend of my sister's and my own Father (who was so excited to get his citizenship some years back to vote for Kerry!). The friend of my sister's is a full fledged Republican but she simply is "too busy" to vote....saying she has to work...well polls are open from 6AM-7:30PM (I think if I remember correctly) but she's still just too "busy" to vote. Sad excuse and not even a good excuse! My own Father won't vote because he said "it doesn't matter." He said the government will put whoever they want into office. He said that Bush didn't even win the last election and he still became the President. I tried to explain the electoral votes to him (and really the stupidity of them) vs. the popular vote but he is so disillusioned that he won't vote anymore. It pains my heart (though the electoral vote is way outdated) but people can still make a difference. After I told my Dad all this he asked me who I was voting for. I told him, "Hillary Clinton" and he yelled at me to vote for Obama saying Hillary's no good! I told him why don't you go and vote for him then and that is when our useless conversation ended.... Anyway, I write everyone this message because it is so important to vote! It a right America gives its people and if you are not happy with the way things are, you can elect a leader who will do something about it! The salesman explained that the radio was voice activated. "Nelson," the salesman said to the radio. The Radio replied, "Ricky or Willie?" "Willie!" he continued and "On The Road Again" came from the speakers. Then he said, "Ray Charles!", and in an instant "Georgia On My Mind" replaced Willie Nelson. I drove away happy, and for the next few days, every time I'd say, "Beethoven," I'd get beautiful classical music. If I said, "Beatles," I'd get one of their awesome songs. Yesterday, a driver ran a red light and nearly creamed my new Lexus, but I swerved in time to avoid him. I yelled, "Ass Hole!" Immediately "Hail-to-the-Chief" began playing. I LOVE this car! *** Et pour moi, there is even a little Joni content in the joke, because it shines on: another asshole and red light runners and good humor and lousy leadership. Bon weekend! I wish Brenda were still here. I bought the cd of the quirky 70's comedy 'loving couples.' One of the very best things about this flick was the soundtrack. Haven't been able to find it after all these years. The opening tune was by Syreeta and a tune inside the movie was by the temptations. Found the syreeta song on limewire but have been unable to find it anywhere else. I saved it as I realized using limewire wasn't wise and had to delete it. Have never been able to find the temptations tune. Anyway, those fuckers have completed deleted the original soundtrack and used some other people to redo those songs. AND THEY SUCK! That was the reason I bought it anyway so that I could have it on cd. I have an old vhs version. This happens to me from time to time as well. I'm not sure why. It may have something to do with the various servers the e-mails pass through on their way from here to there. Sometimes a server is down for a few hours (or days?) and then there's a backlog of mail to be delivered.
