I love the way it starts out so quiet in the distance and then sounds kind of metronome-like as it builds in mellow movement. My world is a fuller place because of this song. And where are you sweet bird Kevin who introduced me to the song?! (It's free but you may have to refister to get in to see them). There are a few of Joni, along with other people you'll recognize from the sixties & seventies. I was permitted to shoot "available light" photos by the folks at the museum but had to shoot from various angles to eliminate glare from the many lights, so the colors are a bit "warm". I bought it for the full-length concert in London back in 75. They were so good back then that I'm glad to have it at any cost. This is exactly what I remember about those shows: world-class songwriting, humor, amazing stop/start timing, full-on rock with arrangements different enough to be interesting yet faithful enough to be satisfying, and some great solos. Sometimes, a memory is more vivid than the event really was. This concert is permenant proof that they really were that great. I enjoy the documentary about the making of Born To Run too. In stores, documentaries like this are $19 by themselves. The standard issue CD of "Born To Run" is nice to have on CD (finally) too. Like I said, only $18, total. Piano songs: For Free - LOTC - Simple yet complex. Court And Spark - CAS - ditto Many people talk about Joni's weird guitar tunings, well she has one of the most unusual key touch strokes on a piano also. Almost like she's strumming a guitar on the piano. I've doodled with many Joni songs when I'm in the studio and between "moments" of productivity. I've never quite figured out yet exactly how she "Elvis'ed" (reverbed) her piano tracks. Guitar songs: People's Parties - CAS - Both rhythmic and melodic. Amelia - HEJ - Always came across very surreal and mystic to me. Conversation - LOTC - So smooth and rhythmic at the same time. Woman Of Heart And Mind - FTR - Don't know why but it's always struck a chord with me. A Case Of You - BLUE - Any guitar/dulcimer song from Blue, she had such a "string bling" going on that album.
