I just love the guitar textures on HOTH and the variety of music. >>> My favorite Zeppelin CD is "BBC Sessions" a two-disc compilation released in 1997. Disc 1 1. You Shook Me 2. I Can't Quit You Baby 3. Communication Breakdown 4. Dazed And Confused 5. The Girl I Love She Got Long Black Wavy Hair 6. What Is And What Should Never Be 7. Communication Breakdown 8. Travelling Riverside Blues 9. Whole Lotta Love 10. Somethin' Else 11. Communication Breakdown 12. I Can't Quit You Baby 13. You Shook Me 14. How Many More Times Disc 2 1. Immigrant Song 2. Heartbreaker 3. Since I've Been Loving You 4. Black Dog 5. Dazed And Confused 6. Stairway To Heaven 7. Going To California 8. That's The Way 9. Whole Lotta Love (Medley) 10. Thank You But I have to say my favorite Zeppelin release is the 2003 DVD "Led Zeppelin". This DVD has live performances from 1970 through 1979 abd John Bonham's drum solo on "Moby Dick" is, quite possibly, the best I've ever seen. This entire DVD footage is absolutely, insanely brilliant. Warmly, Cassy NP: Blues For Sister Someone - Lenny Kravitz ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 4 Mar 2007 00:57:35 -0500 From: "Jim L'Hommedieu, Lama" Subject: question on "I Wanna Hold Your Hand", njc I finished some changes to the stereo's amplifier tonight. It's not broken in yet and it's accentuating some odd things. At the very end of "I Wanna Hold Your Hand", the Beatles said, >I wanna hold your >han >a >a >a... >a >a >a >and. Until tonight I always "heard" the vocals rising in pitch on each >a >a >a... >a >a >a Tonight, the altered amplifier sounds like the vocals are on the same note (with some breath control) and _only_ the guitars are rising in pitch. Am I hearing more detail or is it just wrong? I'm listening to the version on the CD called "1". God is in the details, eh? Jim L'Hommedieu ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 04 Mar 2007 00:14:38 -0600 From: John Calimee Subject: Mello Joni Offers. Happy Sunday Joni listers. Thanks to Richard Flynn, it's been a warm Joni weekend. I literally stayed up all night in the studio listening to the cds he kindly sent: CBC Radio Biography (2 disks) Joni Mitchell's Induction into Canada's Songwriter's Hall of Fame The Aug. 25th 1979 Concert at Forest Hills, NY. (2 disks) I'm writing to seed the original disks Richard sent me, back to the list. Assuming that the new owner will pass copy them and offer them again, and so on. -For those not into copying mode, I have 2 sets already copied. The first 2 people asking are welcome to them. (Actually, more can ask... it's just that I've used up all the disks I have at the moment. These are ready to go.) The radio biography was well done. Nothing 'new' but lots of snippets of Joni dispersed throughout and songs were nicely placed in context. - -Thanks again to Richard. And a big shout out to David Blackburn for the DJRD remaster. Good stuff. j. ------------------------------ End of JMDL Digest V2007 #96 **************************** ------- Post messages to the list by clicking here: mailto:joni@smoe.org Unsubscribe by clicking here: mailto:joni-digest-request@smoe.org?body=unsubscribe -------
