I thought my first Joni album, C&S, was a stinker when I listened to it the first time. I was $15 and had probably bought it because I'd heard and liked Help Me on the radio. I was disappointed and thought I'd wasted my money. I hated it. Two more listens made all the difference ... well look, here I am, a stack of Joni CDs by my side and C&S one of my absolute favourites. Since the day I bought it, I've always made a point of giving a new CD three listens before setting it aside. Imagine what I would have missed, had I not persisted. Both give you a different sort of feel so I guess it depends on what kind of mood I'm in. Another question for you folks....how different does the MOA Jericho sound compared to the DJRD Jericho? What changes were made? Just curious. And has Joni ever said anything about MOA in retrospect? Her opinions...things she wish were different on it or really liked about it......that tour in general? Once again, it just irks my curiosity. - -Monika

Well I'm off to go to the music store today to look around and ultimately get my hands on something. I have Hejira, HSOL, and a couple cds by other artists in mind. I suppose I'll let you guys know what I get...or more or less after I give it a good listen I'll post a little review. The good and bad thing is that I have a lot of money on me so....temptation will be there. It's never a good idea to go to a cd store with a lot of $$. Atleast not for me...there or an instrument store either haha. Anyway, everyone have a nice weekend! - -Monika

Bruce Vaughn" Subject: Re: Happy Birthday George Harrison NJC Thank you Monika! I've been listening to Harrison tracks for the last few days when time permits. Having grown up during The Beatle Years. Harrison was my musical idol and anytime a new Beatle album surfaced I'd be somewhere to plunk my money down and when I got it home the stylus was immediately moved to play the Harrison tracks first, then the whole album. Many people who buy All Things Must Pass and are puzzled by My Sweet Lord sounding different and kind of flat especially to those of us who were alive back when it hit radio. It was remixed for US single release and although it's shown up on several Harrison bootlegs and a few years back a CD single stating it was the U.S. version was released but I was never been fully convinced it was the exact version. So, I figured the only way to do it was to pull out and dust off the old 45RPM transcribe it and clean it up. 35 year old 45's that were played a lot tend not to transcribe well but many hours were spent cleaning up the vinyl anomolies and sonics and even though this is far from perfect, this is the real McCoy... and about as good as I can get it. I even bought a new cd rack and a live 1972 John Lennon concert video! It was a good day for music shopping! Lots of deals man! I gave HOSL a listen and started on Hejira but haven't finished it yet (I feel bad for stopping an album before getting through it the first time). I'm in the process of getting ready to go out and meet some friends at the bar. I'll grab both the albums for the car and pop Hejira back in on track 7. However, even if you're not drunk, at some point when its late at night, everything sounds and looks different either way. It's like a late night haze gets you...even when you don't drink! Anyway, I shall get back to you on what I think of the albums. I'm just so excited to listen to them and begin absorbing them! I'll have to go back and reread the reviews of these albums on the JMDL website. I had read them before in passing but it's different once you know what they are talking about! I'll have to recheck Amazon again as well. Anyone else have any places to read some reviews on these albums? Thanks in advance if you do. - -Monika, making herself late
