Yes, you can. For the audio files, you can get this free program called Audio Recorder For Free. It will allow you to record any streaming audio (that's right!) and output it as a WAV, MP3, or WMA. I've been using it to capture the Wolfgang's Vault concerts, and it works great. http://www.download.com/Audio-Recorder-for-Free/3000-2168_4-10427509.html For the video files, you should be able to use Tubesucker, another free program that allows you to save YouTubes. The free version lets you do them one at a time, with the $25 version you can stack up a pile of them and it will save them for you. My friend studies theology in Copenhagen, and one of her lecturers had given them a hand-out with quotations from this lecture. Sometimes I get the impression that for some people, Christianity is all about trying to be as bourgeois as possible, its good to know that there are other directions. I listened to it before I went to sleep and realise now that I can hardly recall what it was all about but was very fascinated when I listened. I think it adds to the text that he reads it. It struck me that talk tends to be temporary and superficial, well it has to, and that it is good to hear spoken language that has been so carefully processed. It's a different process for the senses I think. A break from 'tongues are wagging over fences'... I liked that metaphor where he compares language to the sheet you throw over a ghost. I guess he didn't invent that figure of speech but it made a lot of sense. Anyway, I'll post the second one later today, I haven't heard it yet. It's only 16 minutes. I totally agree with you on this one! I'm not sure if the genre of this song even fits into a category. I hear Jazz and Be-Bop coming from someone classified prior to that as more of a folk singer. This is what I love about Joni. Especially in this song and with the help of Jaco's bass, she transformed herself into a whole new style and genre. It's refreshing to hear each time! Joni is like a musical chameleon. I love her! Sherelle From: "Jim L'Hommedieu, Lama" The Joni / Jaco dueling rhythms at the beginning of "God Must Be A Boogie Man" always knock me out. They both start/stop at unexpected times and that leaves a full stop at 0mm:24ss, 0m:28ss, and 0m:41ss. I don't know exactly what genre they're playing but it sounds more like hard bop than folk music. The way the bass states the theme at 0m:39ss and 0m:50ss seems to introduce Jaco as a major collaborator. I don't know music theory but this track is challenging and satisfying at the same time.
