The subject wasn't being a mope, it was having the kind of face that people make assumptions about -- in my case, people sometimes think I am sad when I am not. It's nothing new because -- speaking of grammar school teachers -- I remember one of mine talking about how people have different faces, and Kathy Funari had a natural smile when her face was in repose, and I had a frown. (This teacher would probably be fired for saying such a thing today, if she weren't long dead!) Today was a beautiful day in the Boston area and I had a truly memorable and amazing time with a great friend, all of it topped by the clouds of Michelangelo at sunset . . . but I wasn't walking around all day with a smile. If I had been, I would have looked like an idiot. And if some stranger had fucked with my sense of peace and well-being by coming up to me and telling me in some namby-pamby, passive-aggressive way to smile, I would have committed murder. And I am totally at peace with that. XO, - --Smurf Tired of spam? Yahoo! Did anyone here see "The Human Face," a 4-part documentary from 2001 about the face which was narrated by John Cleese? << http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0280262/ >> I missed it, but I'm interested in seeing it. I've also heard that Disney has done lots of research on the face, especially with regard to children's reactions to different faces and expressions. - --Smurf, grinning from ear to ear .
