I thought about that beautiful voice never being heard live again and the sadness of losing him so young. I had heard that he was getting better and then I heard nothing so this was a bit of a shock. I'm glad he got the chance to share his beautiful voice with us and I'm glad he had the chance to follow his heart. He will be missed..... Hey New Yorkers! Barrie Wentzell is a famous rock music photographer from Great Britain, who was the official photographer for Melody Maker magazine back when Joni did the Isle of Wight Concert in 1970. Might want to contact his people at the email addresses below if you want to be sure he'll be exhibiting photographs of Joan at this event. Might even be able to score reprints, if you had a mind to. - -Julius - -----Original Message----- From: Rachel Ruderman To: A. C. Van. Der. Fluke? I dunno. Tho' Dylan's 'Blowin' in the Wind' is kind of generic anyhow. Plus, (and I don't mean to dis Dylan) can you hear Dylan singing "first there is a mountain, then there is no mountain, then there is..." C'mon! Poor Man's Dylan?! No Way! Like Kate said, there is an element of sweetness there. Now for the dork question - - there are two types of dorks in the world: dorks and cool dorks. People always tell me I'm sort of hippie-ish, but I always think of myself as a cool dork. ;) Mia ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 06 Jul 2005 00:01:48 -0400 From: "Marianne Rizzo" Subject: RE: njc, marianne's love and peace and harmony project Dear Joni friends, Thank you for all of your suggestions for songs of joy and peace (I wish I had. . a river).
