He should have said his sex life was no one's business but his and his wife's (and a cast of thousands?). He could have said, yeah I had a blowjob. I'm an adult. That's what we sometimes do. > I say to those who want to throw our country into further chaos and make our > enemies ecstatic - go ahead - No one wants that. Come on. People want their government back from the extremists and religious right. > but then when the fallout comes - live with > your decision and take responsibility for what you have done and do not try > to blame the other side for it. There is no other side-that's an illusion they keep foisting on us. The division is not left/right, it's up/down. If you have less than, I don't know, 5 million in your bank account, you are probably not in their club anyway. Did you ever hit nail right on its head!! It's the truth, and I love you for pointing it out. I refer to your words: Sorry David, I disagree with you. (And I note you call me out by name for calling someone out by name in direct response to that poster's post. You can do it and I can't?) I am sick unto death of being accused of wanting to weaken or destroy America or accused of being a traitor for not agreeing with someone else and those type of attacks have happened for years and years and we have lost members of the JMDL over that - that was the personal attack, the post that I responded to, that was not conversation but attack, and I am very sorry but that is how it is, and this is as personal attack - as you could have emailed me off list - as what you flag me for. You want me to leave this forum so those type of attacks can continue without comment or response, ask me and I will leave. But sing along with Aretha, whose zooming who here. Actually I haven't fully recovered... it is an ongoing process for me. I have come a long way though. Through what I gained in counseling, I was able to have a good relationship with both of the perpetrators who passed away, and I have a good relationship with the one who is still living. At one point in time, I didn't think that was ever going to be possible nor did I desire it. Once I was able to see them as sick people and to realize that nobody would hold a child (me in my mind) responsible for what happened, the healing for me began, and eventually, I was able to emotionally and psychologically protect myself from them and wanted to be around them again on the condition they accepted the limits I set. I could then gain what I wanted from them without ill effects. I work for a youth charity who work with young people who are daily trying to put their lives back Very commendable! I worked at a similar agency years ago and continue the line of work today voluntarily on a one to one basis now with women who suffered similar incidences to what I lived through. We will never ever agree on this matter and let it stand that you wholeheartedly by your own words support MJs actions and I don't. If he did molest children, I would be similar to you toward him. I'm glad you understand me. Perhaps the difference is in differing perspectives toward the media. It is good to agree to disagree. We are just very different that is all. Evidently so... which is a good thing in my opinion. We need both sides now if we are to have balance. Hi Gang, <<"Women he has taken grow old too soon He tilts their tired faces Gently to the spoon">> Perhaps a morbid and slightly trivial disctinction, but: I've always wondered whether the spoon was holding cocaine (those teensy jobbers that were so popular in the '70's -- anyone remember that McDonald's coffee stirrers were real popular in this regard until McDonald's got wind of this fact and "flattened" the little spoon at the end of the stirrer, ruining everything), or was it (the spoon, a real one) being used to cook heroin to be injected? Both ideas seem to fit into the concept of the Kingpin controlling his "girls" by keeping them addicted to drugs. Not a very chipper topic is it?
