Fantastic band, Dean Parks replaced Jeff Pevar on guitar. They played an amazing collection of "hits" from the past 36 years (Marrakesh Express, Wooden Ships, Dija Vu, Cathedral, Carry Me, Immigration Man, Almost Cut My Hair..) + some from the new album of course. Croz joked it's hard on him when his son writes better songs than his. Marathon concert of 2h30 with 1 break. Great humor in between songs, as always. Sheer beauty. Most european dates are NOT sold out, so you guys in Italy, UK & Spain should run. This might not happen for another 30 years. Joni @ N.O. Jazz Festival May 6, 1995 FAR be it for me to correct the master of all Joni info, but this is a little bit wrong. The ONLY reason I know this is because of my extensive queerness for the VG-8 AND the Parker Concert Fly guitar. She DID NOT use the Parker at Jazz Fest. She used a modified Strat with a GK-2A pick up on it. She stayed up all night in a hotel in New Orleans with Gary programming those crazy patches that she used for that show. BTW there is a remastered version of that show done by our own MarkD that sounds a lot better than other versions I have heard. Also at that point TCCOL was still called Loves Cries. 'honey, can i put on your clothes': songs don't get much sexier than that. (2) i visited the first topsfield jonifest, 1998, with michael yarbrough and stayed the night before with a lesbian friend of his in somerville. two mates of hers, fellow members of a boston lesbian motorcycle club, met us and we all rode downtown dancing to a swinging gay nightspot. the butch dyke i rode with told me i was a very fine bitch on back, especially compared to the girl she had ridden with the previous night. that diva had leaned away on corners, hadn't hung on to the driver and screamed at her friends until she had to be asked to get off the bike. but i was a fine bitch on back. i've always been proud of that. patrick np - cocteau twins, victorialand walt wrote: (1) First time, I was maybe 11, ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 27 Feb 2005 23:34:54 -0500 From: "Lama, Jim L'Hommedieu" Subject: academy award party njc Sitting it out.
