I do apologize for overreacting, and I most of all apologize for being so harsh with you, Colin. Sometimes when I'm caught off guard and feel I am being attacked (whether warranted or not), I tend to flip out. I am an outspoken person, but I am normally respectful of others. And I guess I'm a little sensitive because I'm so new to the group and probably care more than I should about what the rest of you think. So please forgive me, and I promise to be a better Joni fan in the future. Love, Lori ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 22 Feb 2005 20:48:31 -0500 From: "David Henderson" Subject: Starbucks NJC Wow, I have never heard of any of this stuff you mention, Mike. I was going to agree with Gus because I love Starbucks - you know, the drinks . . . chai, cafe au lait, cafe mocha . . . ah, the choices. My theatre is across the street from the Starbucks at 43rd & 8th, and there's another one around the corner on 42nd Street, and I will say they must have very different management styles than wherever you live Gus because the people who work there are none too friendly, and the stores are a messy disaster (and the wait can be endless). Still, I love my overpriced coffee, but if these things Mike is saying are true, maybe I will have to reconsider my patronage of Starbucks. It's very disheartening that a company that grew from one single coffee stand can grow to be just another bad corporate citizen. Have you noticed it is always the same people that are at the centre of controversy of every disagreement??? I get so weary of the constant BULL SHIT. FUCK YOU OR FUCK OFF seems to kind sometimes. Why is it that we equate something that can be so special so good with something so sour and negative. I have a backlog of about 30-40 emails I meant to respond to, but most of them would have been REALLY negative so I bit my tongue, had another swig of Gordon's, and waited till tomorrow.
