OK ABBA, Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm now with the holidays coming into full swing, I remember being in Germany during the old days as an MP, passing an open pub with ABBA being blared on the sound system. It was "Happy New Year" and I will never forget the face of this German guy holding his ears saying in German how the group simply made him insane! And now, you can all (for the sake of the ABBA curse) have "Happy New Year" playing in your minds until the next post (ROFL).......that includes you Nuri! .......happy New Year .....happy New Year Arrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Steve Yahoo! This sounds like "Murphy's Law" was in full effect! I'm glad no one involved with your collision was hurt and I am really, really sorry that your coworker's friend and her daughter were killed. I am trying to help my sister and her daughter cope through a tragedy right now. My niece's fiance fell asleep at the wheel last Tuesday night and was killed when his car struck a tree and exploded into flames. His body was just identified this past Saturday. it is a shock for anyone to die this way but one of the saddest realities is that he left behind a one year old son whom he loved very deeply and that he was just starting to get his life together. he and my niece had such plans together. This has shaken me to my very core. Our mother died a week after a single car crash and even though it has been many years, I feel it has opened up many wounds. My daughter flew down from Connecticut this past weekend to be with my niece and my two other nieces drove down from Northern Virginia. I am so proud opf them. They took the initiative and told their own families and spared my sister the burden. So Bob, I am especially thankful today that you were not hurt or injured in your accident. Take care of yourself and I hope you will back on the road soon. Love, Sherelle Bob wrote: Anyway, I was heading out of town for the weekend with my buddies from Raleigh, and I was stopping by the ATM for some traveling dough. I thought I had a clear shot to make my left turn, but when I did another car came out of nowhere and smacked me a good one. My fault, but at least I wasn't charged with a ticket so I won't get any points on my license. Best news, of course, no one hurt. The other car just had a scratched plastic bumper, which of course my insurance will pay for. And now, my new car is in the body shop, getting 'torn down' so they can give me an estimate for the repair, ALL of which will come from my own pocket. I suppose not paying for any collision insurance for over 10 years, maybe I'm still ahead, but it's a big outlay given that I just shelled out 15 grand for the car. Oh well - it'll work out, and like I say, nobody hurt. I'm actually counting my blessings - one of Val's coworkers was in a wreck Friday and she and her 8-year-old daughter were killed. Neither was wearing seat belts, what's up with that? ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Dec 2004 11:32:36 -0500 From: Jerry Notaro Subject: Re: skin crawlers (like ABBA)/Bad Bette njc > Kate sez: > > > << Speaking of...
