NJC ["Richard Flynn" Also "Midnight Cowboy" has been what I've always thought of as one of > say my top 5 movies, but I think I stopped with that once I realized it > left me emotionally destroyed everytime I watched it. > Funny. I think "Midnight Cowboy" is a fascinating decent into degradation and death, much like life itself! The movie that emotionally destroys me every time is "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf." Elizabeth Taylor earned eternal movie star cred right there, if you ask me. And I think she was only about 32 years old when she made the movie. I could google it, but that's lame. You look it up. Another movie that also destroys me is "It's a Wonderful Life." This movie is downright delusional, people. The only part of the movie with even one foot in reality is the Pottersville segment. - --Smurf ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 3 Dec 2004 22:44:48 EST From: Smurfycopy@aol.com Subject: =?ISO-8859-1?Q?Re:=20NJC=20Re:=20Subject:=20The=20Point,=20Nils s?= =?ISO-8859-1?Q?on,=20Rufus,=20birthdaze...=A0=20NJC?= Bob writes: > I turn to a quivering blob > of jelly-like goo everytime. (methinks) Did I ever tell you about when I got to drive Michael Doucet to the airport at like 5 am? Too cool, and what a lovely man. Spinning some Beausoleil in YOUR honor and theirs. OLD stuff: Pierrotte Grouillette et Mamselle Josette ( a wedding song of all things for my gay ass to like)! yes!!!! :) Em < Subject: Re: NJC Re: Subject: The Point, Nils son, Rufus, birthdaze...  NJC what do you think of "the Last Picture Show"? Did that one strike any chords with oyu? also to me sorrowful in some odd way and a descent of sorts into degradation and death. Thank god for nature and beauty and the ability despite grainy film to enjoy freshness and to breath cool air. Red rust can be lovely against a blue sky. But if its in black in white...you got to fetch that joy yourself. And what about fecking I ME MINE????? I love that song. Let it Be Naked is a must have for any Beatles fan (worth their jam) me thinks. I was so damn inspired I got up outta my chair and am spinning it now. I collect lots of their boots and outtake stuff. I have found some pretty interesting stuff over the years. Coincedentally I am cleaning up the studio as we speak and organizing cd's and downsizing. Get ready for a shipment Muller. I am giving up a lot of stuff. Now the question is am I big enough Beatles fan to go buy the new fecking box set???? Welll if some fool don't get it for me for Christmas the answer is YES!!!!
